Senior Researcher

The job

We are currently building the team to deliver this exciting project through our production sales and distribution company Listen Media Campaign Company UK Ltd.

We are seeking a full time permanent senior researcher to report directly to the CEO Tony Hollingsworth. Tony has a long and successful career producing cause related global campaigns and events, having produced 9 major projects ( find out more at www.tonyhollingsworth.com )

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a master’s degree and more than 5 years’ research experience working in politics, think tanks or lobbying
  • They will be curious, thorough and skilled in understanding complex issues with an ability to communicate them to non-specialist audiences
  • Be fluent in English and have superior writing skills
  • Be flexible, resourceful and innovative with the ability to manage competing and shifting priorities in a rapidly-changing environment with tight deadlines
  • Be able to work across a wide variety of topics and issues
  • Be able to communicate with a broad spectrum of people including senior politicians, business leaders and VIPs
  • Understand the media landscape including new and emerging social media channels
  • Have a strong analytic and empirical standpoint to construct compelling stories
  • Have knowledge of key issues and key organisations in international development
  • Be an articulate speaker with a good telephone manner
  • Have excellent people skills and a flexible approach
  • Have an enthusiastic approach and a willingness to work hard

The job will entail:

  • Contacting organisations globally to introduce the project and arranging meetings/phone calls
  • Undertaking detailed research into individuals and companies
  • Reporting to the CEO
  • Helping to prepare accurate presentation and promotional materials
  • Writing briefing papers for the CEO for meetings, presentations and public speaking
  • Drafting letters for the CEO
  • Researching diverse issues, including Corporate social responsibility and broadcaster public service remits, to support the campaign’s commercial and advocacy ambitions.
  • Maintaining regular communication and engagement with campaign partners and stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively and flexibly with their team mates to deliver the Listen Campaign in 2018

 

You will be part of an energetic, committed and  ambitious team that wants to build a media company that can combine the appeal of celebrated artists with the impact of the international media networks and make that work to the advantage of vulnerable and disadvantaged children everywhere. We are currently 10 people which will rapidly grow to a team of 40 as the campaign develops.
